Vibrant College Events: A Year of Learning, Awareness, and Celebration

Colleges are not just centers of education; they are also hubs of community service, awareness campaigns, and cultural festivities. This year, our college actively participated in various events that focused on environmental sustainability, social responsibility, career guidance, and cultural celebrations. Here’s a glimpse into some of the remarkable events:
1. Beach Cleaning Drive Post Ganpati Visarjan
To promote environmental sustainability, students participated in a beach cleaning drive at Juhu Beach after Ganpati Visarjan. This noble initiative was graced by the presence of celebrities Dr. Utkarsh Shinde and Dr. Ashish Gokhle, who motivated students to take an active role in maintaining cleanliness and preserving marine life.
2. Environmental Sustainability Suggestions to Lokmat Newspaper
First-year students, along with their professors, provided practical suggestions on environmental sustainability to Lokmat Newspaper. This initiative aimed to raise public awareness about eco-friendly practices and inspire individuals to adopt sustainable lifestyles.
3. Chatpat Chok Udyog Mela – A Platform for Student Start-ups
Students got a golden opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial skills through the Chatpat Chok Udyog Mela. The event served as a launchpad for student start-ups, and all profits generated were donated to a noble cause, reinforcing the importance of social responsibility alongside business acumen.
4. Connect to School: NEP 2020 Awareness Campaign
Under the guidance of Dr. Sanchita, students took part in an awareness campaign on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The initiative aimed to educate school students about the new policy changes and how they can benefit from them.
5. Cancer Platelet Donation Awareness Lecture
Prof. Pratik Chavan delivered an insightful lecture on the importance of platelet donation for cancer patients. The session aimed to encourage students to participate in blood and platelet donation drives to support cancer treatment.
6. Cancer Awareness Rally
In collaboration with the B.Pharm department, students from the Arts, Commerce, and Science streams organized a cancer awareness rally. The event aimed to spread knowledge about cancer prevention, early detection, and available treatments.
7. Vivek College Career Guidance Session
A dedicated career guidance session was organized at Vivek College to help students explore different career paths. Industry experts provided insights into various fields, helping students make informed career decisions.
8. Rangtali Garba Celebration
The college witnessed a grand cultural event with the celebration of Rangtali Garba. Students came together to enjoy traditional dance performances, enhancing cultural appreciation and unity within the campus.
9. Introduction to Cultural Activities at ISKCON, Mira Road
Students attended an enriching lecture at ISKCON, Mira Road, where they were introduced to diverse cultural activities. The session highlighted the importance of cultural preservation and its role in holistic development.
10. Career Guidance for Young Minds
The institution organized another career guidance program aimed at helping young students make informed career choices. Experts from different domains provided valuable insights into emerging career trends and skill development.
